De chauffeur lag in zijn cabine te slapen en merkte omstreeks drie uur dat er werd ingebroken waarna hij de politie waarschuwde. Agenten namen direct poolshoogte. Toen ze arriveerden waren de verdachten er vermoedelijk net te voet vandoor. Mogelijk waren ze door de politie gestoord. Ze lieten twee voertuigen achter. De politie trof diverse dozen aan die de verdachten hadden achtergelaten. Er is nog met een speurhond naar de dieven gezocht, maar dat leverde helaas niet het gewenste resultaat op.
